Dr John Malouf is an ENT surgeon servicing the Tweed Heads and Gold Coast region.Dr Malouf was born and raised in Brisbane and educated at Saint Laurence's College. He graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1987 and underwent advanced surgical training in ENT at Queensland Rotation, receiving his surgical fellowship in 2001. Also an Associate Professor at the Bond University Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, Dr Malouf is renowned for successfully treating both adults and children with issues affecting the Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck.Dr Malouf now resides in the Coolangatta region with his family and consults patients at his private rooms at Malouf Medical in Coolangatta, operating at Tweed Day Surgery and John Flynn Private Hospital.Whilst Dr Malouf is highly trained and has extensive experience across all areas of general ENT surgery, he has a special interest and additional training in:- Advanced endoscopic sinus surgery- Advanced temporal bone dissection- Fundamentals of Sleep Medicine- Advanced course in Head and Neck Surgery- Open Rhinoplasty and Laser ResurfacingDoctor John Malouf saw the need for better training for General Practitioners based on more than 20 years of practice in Ear, Nose and Throat medicine.As an sufferer of OSA himself, he developed a special interest in sleep and in particular, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea which saw the development of SleepGP in 2013, an education company to provide specialised sleep medicine training to General Practitioners.Today, SleepGP has grown nationally, with 11 clinics located in Queensland, New South Wales and Perth.
