Before founding MAMUS, John was Creative Director for Global Communications at FILA. Previous to Merkley, Mamus held director-level positions at leading New York advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, Deutsch, and Young & Rubicam, working on such brands as Phillip Morris, AT&T, IBM, Jaguar Cars, Ford Motor Company, GTE, BellSouth, Richemont, Mazda, Publicis in the Americas, W Hotels, Maybach, SBC, Smirnoff, Purdey London.
