I grew up surrounded by great storytellers. None of them were published authors, award-winning journalists or celebrated documentarians. Rather, they were old towboat captains, hair dressers, church deacons and summer camp counselors. Nevertheless, they could spin a yarn in all the right ways to seize their audience's attention. It was from them that I learned my love for storytelling. Today, I help organizations tell their stories, primarily online. As Digital Manager for Eric Rob & Isaac, a Little Rock marketing firm, I've helped a variety of clients tell their stories: bankers, eye doctors, financial advisors, plastic surgeons, lawyers, florists, and even a fast-growing city. I share their stories through online content marketing, using formats such as blogging, social media and email, all with the aim of helping organizations promote their brand and achieve better business.The mediums have changed and the technology has radically advanced, but the principles of story-telling remain the same: - Focus on your audience - Remain authentic to who you are- Have fun with it
