Met those plans with actionable items and kept department on track to meet those goals.* Started KnowBe4 campaign to train the users to protect themselves and the company data from Phishing and social engineering attacks.

Member of the board of directors in good standing with the Paupack Sailing Club. The Paupack Sailing Club is a non-profit club dedicated to the betterment of the sport of sailing. Focus is on training racing, and expanding its membership through training, hands-on sailing, racing, and group sails. Home waters are on Lake Wallenpaupack in northeastern PA. Membership includes sailors from all backgrounds, including several ASA instructors with thousands of offshore miles. Inclusion in the club has expanded my hours as skipper and gained me many hours in command of vessels including offshore hours.

Technical editor for the Catalina 25/25 and Capri 25 sailing Association. Within this role I submitted my own, and edited others technical articles to the Association. These articles went into the Catalina Mainsheet Magazine, one of the largest and oldest brand owned boat manufacturer magazines. During my tenure we moved the trade magazine together from print only to print and electronic distribution.

Development Engineering Manager - a department created for me managed by me for Commonwealth Commnications, (CC - which was the engineering arm of Commonwealth Telephone Co). Position was to evaluate emerging technologies, and examine which ones would be profit makers for the company. Evaluated products involving VoIP, IP-PBX systems, Point to Point VPN solutions, wireless cable TV internet service providing, etc. In this position I reported directly to the Vice President and General Manager of CC, and was given no budget constraints. We rolled out several new products, and started to build an entire IT/Voice department “dream team.” During this time I earned my Microsoft MCSE. I also saved the company over 100k dollars on an IKON office solutions systems roll out for a local bank project. The development team was given special consideration with abilities to pick and choose members from any discipline to help roll-out projects, from Large PBX installations, to small network designs (Libraries). We even did a multi-campus network implementation for a bank, including upgraded email, web, and domain controllers.

Traffic engineer for the engineering services for Commonwealth Telephone Company (CTCo). Duties including both monitored traffic over telephone networks, and developing new telco switching networks. This was a booming time for the Telco, during the days of dial-up internet service that overwhelmed most telephone companies. I managed the network switching upgrades to keep CTCo at their much touted 99.999% availability of dial-tone.

Contract work as traffic engineer for Alltel Southern Region (telco) I migrated software users from old paper data systems to electronic database systems. While there I helped the developers identify software bugs in there code and eliminate data redundancies.
