• Produce/edit the society's daily newsletter, a primary outreach medium to ASCE members, distributed to nearly 130,000 recipients. Craft compelling headlines and capsules that generate opens and clickthough higher than industry averages. Curate content from external sources for audience relevance, then turn it over to AI to sort and distribute by readers' interests. Track analytics to gauge performance and use findings to apply refinements to story selection and play, and to write better-performing copy. • Write and produce Leadership Letter, a monthly email from ASCE's executive director updating the society's officers and leadership on the wide array of activities within ASCE. • Launched ASCE's original social media presences on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.• Enhance ASCE's website with new/updated written, graphic and multimedia content for its news section and other areas. Ensure quality of pages in part through mastery of our content management system. • Provide creative support to colleagues, including editing and writing copy, creating graphics, serving as host of a live video interview show, delivering voice-over narration, and other multimedia.• Remains abreast of trends in communicating to "meet the audience where they are;" about to assist in creating video shorts for ASCE social media.

Provided detailed copy edits of the transcripts of every session of the association's annual conferences each year.

Wrote concise, polished content and shaped graphics and images for the AOL home page, for the AOL Black Voices section, and provided editing support for many other AOL content areas. Reviewed and refined others' content prepared for the home page, for Black Voices and other programming areas.

Edited the live home page of washingtonpost.com for nearly five years, through events large and small, including the 2000 election and vote recount, 9/11 and the start of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. This included writing headlines and capsules with clarity, flair and conciseness, editing appropriate images from Post photographers and wire services, and ensuring proper functionality of everything on the home page, edited then in raw HTML with some Java. Served as night home page editor for two years; edited and posted the next day's Washington Post newspaper content to the home page. This included story selection with a forward-looking approach more appropriate to the Web, one that differed from the "news of record" hindsight approach of the Post's print front page.Produced an internal Iraq war subject guide, and drafted a washingtonpost.com style guide.
