• Doubled the VCSS departmental base budget from $220,000 to over $455,000.• Innovatively found ways to help the Vice Chancellor support divisional needs totaling over $700,000. • Increased the VCSS available budget (non base) from $16,208 to over $450,000 by finding and acquiring unallocated funds, strategically adhering to campus policies to maximize the VCSS carry forwards, and incentivizing VCSS departments to do the same.• Reallocated existing VCSS divisional resources to add 9 FTE without external funding.• Effectively changed the divisional perception from “we can’t afford to do anything” to “we can figure out how to do just about anything.”• Produced accurate and effective monthly budget forecasting/tracking and variance reports customized for each of the 16 departments in the VCSS division. • Created a comprehensive budget report to better manage the department budgets and provide decision makers with a complete picture of the fiscal state. o Includes over 950 unique speed types most of which contain individual budgets and cover a wide range of funding types and sources.• Collaborated with all VCSS departments to meet the financial needs of the unit as a whole.• Took initiative with COGNOS to develop and improve the Position Budget Report for the campus. • Sit on the Royall Marketing Team which has played a major role in the 5%, 5%, and 8% enrollment growth over the past 3 years (the highest growth in Colorado).• Process mapped, beta tested and coordinated the implementation of major software systems including the campus wide procurement system, leave tracking system and hiring system.• Provided administrative support of the Vice Chancellor for Student Success and Enrollment Management. • Successfully supported employee searches resulting in many new hires including the current Vice Chancellor for Student Success, Director of Admissions and Records, Director of Financial Aid, and worked through several strategic reorganizations.
