Coding For Creatives is a meetup.com-based community specifically for designers and artists to learn core programming concepts, problem-solving approaches, and ultimately develop original interactive experiences. The group focuses on front-end JavaScript programming and it's potential applications both online and off. With a strong community of 100+ members and growing daily, the group is a promising insight into the desire for designers and artists to add coding to their artistic skill set.

Long Beach

Upon graduating from CSU, Long Beach in 2002, I was immediately asked to return and instruct the Art Department's motion graphics and coding course. Over the past 15 years I have had the pleasure to be an adjunct lecturer and occasionally continue to teach on campus as time allows. I have taught a diverse selection of courses including typography, interactive design, UX/UI design, motion graphics and animation, 3D product design, and projection mapping. Many of my students went on to work at top-level advertising agencies, design firms and technology companies such as Apple, Sony and Uber.
