Trained as an engineer, my career spans four decades with major technology companies and high-growth startups including Sun, Apple, Microsoft, Yahoo, and WebTV.I care deeply about people and teams, their growth and development, and the impact they make together. I have built hundreds of diverse teams globally, transforming them to better engage customers and partners, improve quality and efficiency, and exceed their own expectations.I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to grow and develop thousands of people, create dozens of valuable products including many “firsts”, manage several multi-billion-dollar businesses, drive excellence in talent and technology, and pass on what I’ve learned to developing leaders.My focus now is on creating value through thoughtful, meaningful, and transformational change. I help people lead with maturity, long-term strategic thinking, a bias for action, and metrics-based accountability. I help companies transform their businesses, organizations, products, technologies, and cultures to create long-term value for customers and stakeholders.I invest in my community by working with young equestrians to develop character, leadership, and confidence. I invest in myself through Stanford Continuing Studies. Recent classes such as Black Studies Matter, Introduction to Mental Health, Demystifying the Middle East, and The Global Refugee Crisis have reinforced my sincere commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
