Worked in a team of three to improve current emotional text tagging algorithms by designing a parallel tokenizer to break up large text files and by designing and running a neural network to assign emotional value to n-grams.Worked individually to create a game that would lead to an easier tagging experience to collect data on what emotions different groups of people would assign to words.Parallel computing was done in python on a Slurm cluster and the game was programmed in C# using Unity.My group and I completed a paper and poster on our achievements, which can be found at: https://faculty.salisbury.edu/~ealu/REU/REU_2019.html
