P-TEC Technical Recruitment is the new trading name for Omitec Resources, which was founded in 2002 as part of the Omitec Group of companies, to recruit specifically for the automotive electronics and software marketplace. Starting from effectively a blank sheet of paper, our customer base in the automotive and other high-technology engineering sectors has grown massively over the years and we are now a major provider of permanent and contract staff to numerous organisations with electronics, embedded software, and mechanical engineering requirements.Our team also provides for more commercially-focused technical and project management staff for industries outside the automotive arena.

I managed Computer People's Leeds contract team for a brief period before moving to Omitec to take up a new challenge. During this period, the contract team went from strength-to-strength and several new business opportunities were successfully closed within the IT recruitment sector.

Starting my career in recruitment as a Resourcer for the Technical Services Division, I focused on recruiting for a number of blue-chip and smaller aerospace and automotive organisations. The role at Computer People gave me a solid grounding in recruitment, as well as enabling me to gain an excellent technical understanding of the electronics, software, and systems-related recruitment sectors.
