In this leadership role, I directed all aspects of the human resources function and employee lifecycle, including recruiting, retention, and employee relations. I also oversaw compensation and benefits planning, managing plan design, rate negotiations, employee communications, and open enrollment cycles, including enrollments for CalPERS medical and retirement plans. Finally, I handled facilities management for 4 leased and owned properties, all while managing a team of 8.Highlights include:- Led transformation of legacy human resources department structures and processes following merger, redesigning functions to meet current and future growth needs and to align with best practices.- Oversaw completion of HRIS and payroll system (Paycom) implementation, assuming a process that was 4 months behind schedule, gaining company buy-in, and executing implementation plans.- Selected by Board to spearhead search for new CEO, developing search parameters, crafting compensation and benefits offering, and preparing senior leadership for transition.- Avoided costs of purchasing a new facility by initiating an office space assessment during a period of workforce growth, discovering inefficient use of space in existing buildings and subsequently optimizing space utilization.
