In my current role I am responsible for the architecture, design and engineering decision for the Storage, Monitoring and Automation activities within a complex, highly secure environment, consisting of over 10PB of storage capacity across multiple storage arrays, thousands of virtual machines, multiple network SAN fabrics and data centres. Key Highlights• Architecture, Design and Implementation of new Dark Fibre services between datacentres, incorporating layer 1 encryption to protect levels• Hands on experience with end to end infrastructure solutions. SAN Storage, Virtualisations, Servers, Enclosures.• Wrote the code to automate the migration of PB’s of storage from one Storage Array Vendor to another on two different occasions in 2 different countries.• Lead the Architecting for Resilience program to enable applications to utilise storage failure domains.• Technical lead in monitoring workshops with client to provide an infrastructure assurance framework.• Architect, Design, Engineering, Automation, anomaly detection & development of a self-service monitoring platform utilising a variety of scripting and programming languages & open source tools to analyse & alert on infrastructure and application performance across thousands of servers in real time. • Hands on experience with performance troubleshooting.• Storage lead for the Data Centre Relocation program.• Experience presenting to C level executives including formal presentations, white boarding sessions and workshops.• Part of a select group in ANZ nominated to take part in a DXC Executive Leadership program designed to train and prepare participants for senior roles within the companyExperience with VMWare, Windows Server, HPE OneView, HPE 3PAR, HPE XP7, Hitachi VSP, InterSite Datacenter Links, FC Network Encryption, Datacenter Migrations, Go (golang), PowerShell, Grafana, InfluxData.
