John qualified from Queens University with an honours degree in Civil Engineering and is now a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland. As a Consultant Engineer, John worked with many leading construction companies such as Mace, Mercury Engineering, Winthrop and Hegertys Construction, In 2001 John established MGM Civil Engineering which specialises in all aspects of Project Management, Building Certification, Structural Design and Litigation. By 2006, with the emergence of the Energy Sector, John, along with Colm Holmes established a sister company, Energy Surveys which has now evolved and grown into ECC encompassing BIM, Project Management Services, QA/QC, Site engineering, 3d laser scanning, Drone surveying, Land Surveying, Setting out and various Architectural/ Engineering Services.John provides his vision and professional acumen to managing a number of substantial projects and taking sole responsibility for maintaining quality control and best practice while meeting specific targets and deadlines. John’s involvement and professionalism with many of ECC’s key clients such as Hyper-Scale Data Centre in Clonee, Co. Meath are at the core of his values and that of ECC where he blends his substantial skill sets and insight with his client brief, fulfilling the successful professional outcomes which are the standard of ECCs operations. For John and ECC through his management with many subcontracts for numerous public sector clients, These included being part of the national framework for housing upgrades. Johns professional standing together with ECC’s proven record for quality and delivery of contracts with exceeded expectation outcomes has attracted many large clients such as PWC, Grant Thornton, Deloitte, where he and his team have managed surveys plus many large portfolios of properties.
