Planning and Purchasing coordinator for essential aspects of the Abbott Diagnostics ALINITY product launch. This role had a direct impact on both the ADD Sligo site goals and Abbott Diagnostic Division goals for the ALINITY launch. The environment was extremely changeable and fast paced and the launch marked the busiest ever period for ADD Sligo.• Responsible for the ordering, approval and correct usage of a vast number of materials with strict FDA requirements necessary for the ALINITY S product launch• Correctly maintained and added to the tracking of all materials utilised in the ALINITY S launch which was another FDA requirement. This involved tracking the correct usage of over 3000 materials• Coordinated the approval, ordering and delivery of over 340 different labels for the ALINITY I product launch which was conducted under an exceptionally tight timeline

Manufacturing Engineer in the Vessel Closure Department with a particular focus on the usage of materials and supplies required for production. • Responsible for the design, control and management of the supplies process used in the Vessel Closure Department which involved: 1. Setting up an innovative process that tracks the usage of $2million worth of supply items and provides both real time and predicted financial data2. Management of stock relating to a changeover of suppliers3. Identification and recovery of $90k which had been incorrectly charged by the previous supplier4. Identification of Cost Improvements relating to supply items with a minimum annualised CIP of $50k (potential CIP of over $250k)• Spearheaded a project to improve yield on shrink tubing, resulting in a greater than 50% improvement in usage. Obtained by influencing all members of the value stream to take greater care when handling the material and through implementing engineering fixes. • Worked with Operations on a re-design of the Vessel Closure Criblet (material storage area), providing an improved design which will optimise the space for better storage and functionality• Improving the Cost Awareness Culture within the operational process by generating cost displays and holding informative huddles

Line Support QE providing assistance to the Drug Eluting Stent (DES) Department.• Spearheaded a project to enhance the Quality System within Secondary Packaging. This project investigated a number of avenues culminating in multiple improvement recommendations• Gaining knowledge of the controls/operations involved within a Shingo standard quality system• Dealt with day-to-day quality concerns which required thorough but timely analysis to identify causation and quick implementation of fixes. • Provided statistical analysis for the identification of quality risks
