• Black box testing of a variety of applications built on a variety of technologies (VB desktop apps, web applications, SQL stored procedures, web services running between integrated apps).
• Planning and creating test plans/cases for new features as well as upgrades to existing systems.
• Prioritization of workload and projects to achieve the best results within the timeline.
• Performing various testing methods including functional, exploratory, performance, smoke, security, hardening and more to ensure the highest quality end product.
• Collaborating with all necessary teams (Business Analysts, Developers, Support, Network) to gather all vital information on features.
• Troubleshooting found defects and documenting all needed information for developers to resolve issues - this often includes reading through SQL stored procedures and running SQL profiler to retrieve info.

Temporary full-time co-op quality assurance tester position. Writing test cases from external design documents, running regression tests, finding errors and retesting, meeting with developers to gain a better understanding of software requirements, as well as some general office tasks.
