Midwest Territory Manager
As the Midwest Territory Manager, I am responsible for 200+ customers and over $7 million in sales across six states annually - including negotiation, revision, and expansion of contracts. My main responsibilities include continuously communicating with Management; reviewing personal schedules, outcomes of customer meetings, special inventory needs, progress on target market segments, and issues that may take place that could affect the region’s results. Additionally, I am proud of my ability to have successfully developed a minimum of 10% “New Customer” business for the past three years running.I focus on 100% customer satisfaction – being involved, as needed, to ensure that customer expectations are adhered to, including timely resolution of customer claims and complaints. I work closely with the accounting group, to ensure customer’s prompt payment and adherence to S+B’s sales terms. I also support and mentor Inside Sales. Reporting plays an essential part in the role of Territory Manager. I provide sales and quote reports as needed – especially on new business opportunities that are being tracked. I develop an annual sales plan to ensure achievement of budget objectives including: weekly itinerary, completion of customer contacts and call report notes in Contact Manager and CRM. All schedules include appointments, call reports, action items, market intelligence, and continuous customer data base management. I am also responsible for quoting customers and following up to obtain customer feedback.I facilitate regular meetings with company executives and management to ensure plans for growth are on track and in line with overall business objectives.
