• The Ernest Henry mine is a large copper mine located in eastern Australia, in the state of Queensland. Ernest Henry represents one of the largest copper reserves in Australia and in the world, having estimated reserves.
• Identify and manage improvement projects aimed toward continual optimisation of equipment performance and site processes
• Ensure that all modifications to plant or processes are analysed correctly and carried out in compliance with all applicable statutory requirements and standards
• Provide reliability/condition monitoring support to help identify equipment condition and develop effective maintenance strategies
• Supervise, coordinate and execute critical construction and maintenance improvement projects
• Contract development and management for both capital equipment procurement and onsite contractors

• Ernest Henry Mine Underground Expansion Project involved the $600million transition from an Open cut mine to a solely Underground operation. Project involvement was primarily focused on the construction and transition.
• Review of design drawings and contract scope documents prior to and during construction
• Supervision, co-ordination and execution of complex construction tasks, with a specific focus on works methodology review and quality assurance compliance
• Provision of technical engineering support to multi-disciplinary contractor personnel
• Promote safety ethos on site and drive for a Zero harm workplace
• Co-ordination of onsite and offsite design, fabrication and logistics

Alpha Rail Project, Central Queensland

• Alpha Coal rail corridor project was commissioned to investigate the proposed route to connect the Alpha Coal mine site with the port operations at Abbott PointDuties
• Planning, costing and management of geotechnical investigations
• Site investigations including test pit excavation and drill core analysis
• Supervision of field work
• Management and logistics for site personnel and equipment
• Writing of geotechnical reports presenting results of investigations.

Alpha Rail Project, Central Queensland

• Duties
• Cadastral surveys identifying property boundaries and points of rail corridor intersection as well as setting out geotechnical testing locations and rail corridor centreline. Use of Leica GPS and Manual Total stations
• Daily planning and route preparation for Survey tasks
• Communication with Clients Representative and Land Access team to notify of weekly access requirements
• Proactive weed seed management to prevent spread of weeds between work locations and properties

• Preparation and execution of contract documentation

• Monitoring schedule for overall compliance and liaising with relevant personnel
• Control of quality assurance sign-off for all site works from groundworks to steel erection and cladding
• General engineering duties such as survey set-out of all structural elements and quality assurance checks.
