I led the Product Management & UX teams at Terminus through the transition from scrappy startup to an established SaaS business. It was important to increase the efficient collaboration & alignment between departments. We changed how we worked with the leaders and rockstars in Customer Success, Support, Marketing, Enablement and Sales. I was also proud to lead the team that delivered a product that resonated with users & industry analysts alike. We were ranked in the Leaders quadrant of the Forrester Wave in 2020 & had numerous quarters of top rated reviews on G2. In the area of Data Partnerships, I built the Terminus Data & Technical Ecosystem where we brought the power of integration partnerships to Go-To-Market teams (Marketing, Sales & Customer Success) to optimize the entire GTM strategy and customer experience.

I was brought in to provide a Product Management process and roadmap to allow the company to build on the success of early lighthouse customers and prepare for their next round of funding.TopPick helps companies build qualified talent pipelines. * Established the Product Management department and processes for the company including the basics of prioritizing and roadvmapping. Partnered with the CTO to roll out Scrum to the development organization.* Led the largest UI development effort in the company’s history to redesign the entire User Interface (150+ screens). Provided the direction and requirements necessary to complete the project in 5 months with a small team. Led both external and internal designers and UI developers.* Led a number of initiatives to move the product from being popular with highly-technical early adopters to appealing to a broader market including the marketing department. Analyzed the competitive landscape, established executive consensus on the direction and built the requirements for a marketer-friendly, drag-and-drop interface for building audience segments, a completely new analytics platform, a new drag-and-drop email building experience as well as enterprise enabling features like SSO support.* Presented the redesigned product to industry analysts and in public demos. MessageGears’ product was honored as a 2017 and 2018 CODiE finalist for Best Marketing Solution.* Generated requirements for two Agile development teams while building out the Product Management team

* Led a global organization of 30+ people who are focused on both Product Management and Engineering on the IBM Marketing Cloud. Highlights include:* Established the Product Owner role as a new position & discipline within IBM. Focused on growing both the US team and International team of POs as they work with Product Manager, customers and internal stakeholders (Support, Services, Operations, etc.) to build the detailed requirements for the IBM Marketing Cloud development organization.* Provided global leadership to 3 agile engineering teams that are focused on integrating Silverpop technology into the broader IBM Commerce portfolio and vise versa. Built one of them (located in India) from scratch. * Provided second line leadership for the Engineering Support organization who was responsible for being the link between the Client Support and Development organizations.* Selected to serve as the Senior Product Manager simultaneously for 3 major initiatives: * Globalization/Internationalization of Silverpop Technology * Finish an ambitious multi-year project to replace the entire content creation experience * Rebrand Silverpop Engage to the IBM Marketing Cloud (including UI, URL/Domain, etc.)* Regularly served as a public speaker and conference track owner for IBM Marketing Cloud customer events

* Developed the roadmap and executive relationships between Product Development and the Client Support, Operations, Services, Security, Finance and Legal organizations. * Drove the process improvement to the roadmapping process to ensure the health of the whole business was considered in addition to the strategic direction of the company and recent win/loss reports.* Operationalized the 15-member Product Management organization, including building an innovative process that quickly helps a company prioritize disparate features and initiatives and determine which of those areas to actually invest in to balance long and short term returns.

* Served as the Product Manager for Silverpop’s largest customer segment representing more than $50M of revenue. Simultaneously managed multiple external and internal product roadmaps.* Developed the vision & unique implementation approach to enable non-technical marketers to automate their customer journeys with graphical programming* Built the requirements and guided multiple development teams as Silverpop migrated its entire data and query strategy to make them more powerful for non-technical marketers* Built an internal Documentation team and successfully migrated hundreds of pages of documentation from external consultant(s) within a few months. Established a team structure that allowed the documentation team to move from supporting 4 development teams to more than 8.

Austin, Texas Area

* Managed multiple teams of software developers creating graphical programming products. Split time between Engineering and Product Management leadership. Products included * LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT 1.0 and 1.1 - National Instruments partnered with LEGO to build the next generation robotics platform for children * LabVIEW DSP - Educational-focused product that was targeted to High School and Technical College students that introduced them to writing code for Texas Instruments' Digital Signal Processors* Directed the activities of contract employees performing localization, graphics production and testing services.* Developed software features on Windows in C/C++ with Microsoft's Visual Studio and LabVIEW. Additional exposure to XCode on the Mac and Perl.
