I am a professional software developer specializing in crafting thoughtful solutions for Web-based, Windows, and iOS applications with data stores in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and SQLite. I am effective at meeting the needs of businesses seeking to create new products or transition legacy applications. Oftentimes unique client constraints require that I take an innovative – and sometimes unconventional – approach when using current tools to achieve desired results without negatively impacting production, internal clients, or customers.I am a good listener capable of translating client needs and requirements into technical processes that can be modeled in software. Additionally, as a technical writer I create documents for developer reference as well as client & customer training. I enjoy working in a team environment where communication is encouraged; and in which I can contribute and integrate my ideas with others for the overall benefit of the project.I care deeply about the environment and strive to make a difference in both my personal life and work life. My wife and I volunteer in local community environmental efforts and have a business together, "Walk on the Wild Side Organics", in which we work with private clients to restore ecosystems in soil which lay the foundation for healthy plant communities in both gardens and natural landscapes. We apply these same principles to our home vegetable garden and donate surplus produce to our local food pantry. In software development - as in the natural world - communication, caring, and building relationships are key.
