Responsible for the parks and recreation consulting program providing comprehensive planning and related services to parks and recreation agencies. This was a start-up company providing freight transportation and logistics services in Russia. I worked with the sales team to create operations procedures both in Houston and Moscow. I delivered exceptional customer service to ensure client retention. I negotiated and administered contracts with Russian service providers and supported the sales team.

PetroAlliance was a subsidiary of Western Atlas, a large oilfield services company. In a newly created position, I managed all freight shipments to Moscow and job sites in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. I tendered, negotiated, and managed all domestic and international vendor contracts related to these activities.

Lynden Air Freight began its operations in Russia in 1992. One colleague and I managed the start-up operations in Moscow and St. Petersburg on a 30-day rotation schedule. The other half of my rotation was in Houston where I supported the sales team and trained agents to prepare shipments for Russia. In Russia, I recruited, developed, and trained a total of 15 local employees in two offices to support rapidly increasing sales.

Through prospecting and cold calling on representatives of foreign oil companies in Moscow, I generated sales that had not been previously targeted. First, I was a crew member and translator at an oil rig site in the Timan-Pechora Oilfields of Russia. Later, I established and ran an office in Moscow. I recruited, trained, and managed staff, coordinated crew changes and equipment transfers via Moscow to and from job sites in Russia, and traveled with client representatives to assist in negotiations with their Russian partners.

Created two new revenue streams through sales of commercial air freight services. I facilitated the successful arrival and departure of three passenger flights per week at Dulles International Airport and managed sales and operations of air freight services.
