Although I’ve provided service in various capacities throughout my work life, including some fairly creative ones, my present goal is to serve in a role similar to an entry-level or assistant production or prepress artist. I have flexibility, so although not set in stone, I believe this might be a pretty good fit.My full time onsite experience includes 1.5 years of creative work and 7 years of production work. Companies include Underground Printing, Paragon Design + Display, Progressive Art and Frame Design (presently Image360), Park West Gallery and American Greetings. In the past, I've freelanced just a little bit, so I hold a tad more creative and production experience than this.My education includes a BFA in Communication Design with focus in Illustration from CCS (College for Creative Studies) and continuing education coursework in Digital Design at A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education.• My present role is as a production associate within the screen printing niche of the graphic arts at a nice company called Underground Printing.• In a previous position at Paragon Design + Display, which serves businesses and higher education institutions, I executed in several roles: a bit of conceptualizing original ideas for an e-commerce Web site; some assisting Design and Marketing departments in creative and production work; and much laminating, mounting, framing, producing and installing displays, signs, pictures and banners for the Finishing department.• Prior to Paragon, I worked in the production and creative department at an environmental/architectural graphics design company, at the time called Progressive Art and Frame Design. For this employer, which serves mostly the health care community, I performed as an assistant rather than an independent lead with many tasks: digital illustration, graphic design, digital file editing prepress; large- and small-format printing; laminating and mounting.Although I’m flexible, at this time, I believe I’ll perform well in a pragmatic, supportive position which features occasional opportunities for creativity rather than a fully creative role.
