After hiring a small team of marketers and developing the marketing department at Shepherd, my time as director was spent working closely with carriers, vendor partners, and Shepherd’s chief executives. My focus was on positioning the brand to acquire other agencies - as well as increasing organic growth in three major verticals, various niche markets and program business - while leading digital, operational and communications initiatives within the organization. Some of the projects that were completed in this role included; rebuilding the company’s digital infrastructure, rebuilding websites, consolidating DNS files, implementing a new brand guide with new proprietary assets and materials, email campaigns per niche, deploying a mobile app for internal social media - developing organizational charts, content calendars, acquisition checklists, content standards - executing trade shows, company events etc.Shepherd doubled in size and revenue from 2017-2019, receiving consistent recognition from the industry’s leading publications. Shepherd currently has 30+ locations with over 400 insurance professionals.
