Each of the 56 projects was unique and had to be addressed individually· Created and implemented a Process Improvement and Training program for Project Management. This allowed for a single process to be presented to the customers and the sales force for consistency and increased sales. This program has been presented to over 100 people globally.Business Development· Developed 56 new opportunities at the OEM’s customer. These new opportunities generated an additional $ 4.5 million in annual sales for the district.· Developed a unified marketing message to OEM management and Rockwell Automation Sales for business growth. This presentation simplified the process and strengthened our message to the customer. The streamline process allowed for engineering to be engaged quicker which allowed for orders to be processed sooner. -
Project Manager / Finance ManagerComau 1996 - 2006Program Management -. Successfully directed project teams for increased margins and process improvements. Key achievements:· Lead project manager on the Silao Body Shop that was valued at $80 million dollars. I was able to increase revenue by 33% and margin by $6.5 million. Responsible for the organization of a team of over 100 people to process, design, build, install and the start–up of the General Motors plant in Silao, Mexico. The goals of timing, quality and financial success were exceeded for this project.· Managed the design, build and install of the New Ford Mustang tooling for the engine build -up and engine install area. The challenge was the intergration of the new rear wheel design with the existing front wheel design at the plant. This was a $7 million project that lasted 2 years with a team of 45 people. The margins on the program was increased by 9 %· Organized the Project Management department for ISO 9001 certification. I was accountable for outlining process workflow, instructions and training of the project management team consisting of 45 project managers. ISO certification was achieved on the first attempt.Financial Manager General Motors Business UnitAccountable for the financial operations of the GM business unit totaling $100 million. Establish an organizational structure, recommending and implement improvements. Key achievements:· Using Six-Sigma Process - Redesigned the Change Management process allowing for approval and payments to occurred 15 % faster.· Project Performance (Budget vs. Actual) Analysis to allow for the more accurate forecasting of project cost allowing for an accurate projections to corporate offices· Establish and use life cycle cost during the design and build of equipment that allowed for an accurate examination of warranty cost per project. -
