John graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Salford, UK, after which he served in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force as a Pilot Officer. But, due to a sports injury several years later, he had to resign his commission and then embark on his career in finance.John has worked for approximately 28 years in the financial markets with various international financial institutions including Morgan Grenfell and Investco, specialising in mergers, acquisitions and venture capital.In 2008, John moved permanently to Thailand where he founded Broadgate Financial. As President and CEO he is principally responsible for the strategic vision, direction and structured growth of the business. He is particularly active in developing co-operation opportunities between Thai financial institutions, international financial institutions, Thai and Cambodian Government Ministries, infrastructure, construction, property development and land acquisition projects.
