Ah, the dreaded summary, where I attempt to give you a quick synopsis of my talents and experiences without sounding like I used a mission statement generator (which, incidentally, appears to be a real thing (http://cmorse.org/missiongen/) and generated the following "My mission is to continue to facilitate easy-to-use interaction design in order to continue to embrace user centric Design Thinking for 100% customer satisfaction." - perhaps I mocked it too quickly). So, all kidding aside, things I know about. I know how to lead teams consisting of a wide variety of roles. This may come as a shock to some, but visual designers, user researchers, interaction designers, prototypers, and information architects are not all the same thing and have very different perspectives and needs. Also, I know how to mentor team members who are fresh out of college or have twenty years experience. Again, may come as a shock to some folks but they are not the same and one's management style really has to reflect that. I know a lot about design. I've championed user centered design at every organization I've worked at. I've designed interactions, created specs, run usability tests, created personas, conducted focus groups, and presented to executives, customers, partners, and whatever flavor of stakeholder I may have missed. I've been in the arena, and I like to think I've won more than I've lost. Okay, that last bit sounded pretentious, but it's a good line, and I'm a sucker for a good line. - JL
