For the last couple of years I really started to get interested into real estate and how it works from a rental property owner standpoint. I found a mentor while working at Home Depot, who showed me some ins and outs of the rental business. Luckily, the group that was managing his properties just let someone go, so I saw the opportunity and they hired me on! Ever since then, Ive loved every aspect of property managing. I work directly on the maintenance side of the spectrum, but since Im with a smaller company, I get to wear many hats and try different things within the business. Because of this, I have really good communication skills and organization skills. Also, I have some experience with taking pictures and videos and uploading them to different sites, to market our properties and get them rented again. I have experience with excel and word creating different reports and documents. I have experience with preventative maintenance, maintenance coordination, managing projects, and creating scopes of work.
