Work with customers, management and small development teams to provide add-on solutions to our TerraExplorer, TerraBuilder and Photomesh products using a variety of technologies. These technologies include C#, C++, COM, javascript, jquery, PHP, ruby, Sketchup, SQLServer, SQLite, WPF and XAML to name a few. These add-ons include mission planning capabilities, document management, animation controllers and various means of providing HUD information within our system.Provide support for our development and build systems as we continue to upgrade our processes and procedures to work with our teams around the world.

Engaged with managers, architects, QA, customers, suppliers and other software developers in all areas of the Software Development Life Cycle in building the company’s Command, Control and Communications product using Java, SQL Server, JUnit and various third party hardware, software and APIs.• Integrated nearly a dozen sensors into the system. Theses sensors included FLIR and L3 IR cameras, COTS cameras from Panasonic and Vivotech, high-end Sony cameras as well as various pan/tilt units and radars.• Created an image based track creator, which takes information from video images and creates geographic “tracks” based on where the camera is located and where it is pointing. This gives the system the ability produce information similar to the output of a radar without incurring the expense of that costlier radar sensor.• Created a video emulation application that serves up video from large panoramic images via the RTSP protocol. This emulator allows the company to simulate multiple cameras with video and PTZ capabilities without the major expense of having to buy the actual hardware. • Participated in the installation and implementation of the product in the company’s Tucson facilities allowing them to demonstrate the product in a “live” environment to potential customers.• Mentored junior and mid-level members of the team on the implementation of their software projects as part of the overall product as well as general software design and coding practices.

Integrated various third-party hardware and software components into the core ObjectVideo video analytics product as part of the company’s Tactical Team. This included communicating with the main project’s architects to properly analyze problems and design appropriate solutions. It also included working closely with QA to ensure proper test procedures for each specific project. Integrations were written and tested using C#, C++, and NUnit.• Created various DVR solutions allowing the system to control what, when and how video gets recorded based on the systems alert status.• Created a Dry Contact/Relay integration allowing control of doors, windows and lighting based on the system’s alert status.• Produced a DirectShow filter to get information from a third-party camera into the system in the proper format.• Generated and installed a video based solution to control lighting and manage conference room resources based on movement of people throughout a college facility in Michigan based in their “green” technology building.

Designed, coded and tested various upgrades to a Video Surveillance system with 3D modeling capabilities. Also prepared various “one-off” systems for customer demonstrations. All coding and testing was done with C++. • Created a video capture module to retrieve video via HTTP so that any camera that provides HTTP video in the expected formats would be compatible with the system.• Devised a configuration wizard to ensure that all of the servers in the system use a consistent configuration and means of communication

Designed, coded, tested and deployed various systems to supplement the Accounting and Training Class Scheduling packages used by the company using C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, VB, Crystal Reports and SQL Server.• Implemented a new project accounting structure to simplify the company’s expense reporting for the development of new classes and private instruction.• Developed a new invoicing system for the company to automatically generate invoices for students attending upcoming classes. Used C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, VB, Crystal Reports and MS SQL Server 2000 to develop these web applications.

Designed, coded, tested and deployed upgrades to the main Customer Service Application. Used VB, ASP, C++, COM, IIS and MS SQL Server 7 to implement the changes to the multi-tiered application.

Participated in the design and coding of a “Gray-box” testing and debugging tool. This tool integrated with Mercury Interactive’s automated testing tools to create a unique debugging and testing environment. This application was built using Borland’s C++ Builder and Microsoft’s Visual C++.

Served on contract assignment to Amtrak to design and develop a high performance Windows NT Server application, using VC++ and MFC, that allows third-party vendors to access the Amtrak Reservation System via the Internet or intranet using either HTML or XML.• Designed and developed an API to access Amtrak’s reservation system. This API was the foundation to station and reservation agent software used daily by over 3,000 reservation agents world wide.

• Designed, coded and tested changes and enhancements to Perot’s telecommunications billing system using Visual Basic, UNIX, C, Perl Scripts, PL/SQL and Oracle. This provided Perot’s customers direct access to the data going into and out of the billing system.• Designed, coded and tested a UNIX based API into Perot’s billing system, using UNIX C/C++, Tuxedo, SQL and Oracle. The API allows Perot’s customers to design their own user interface to access the billing system’s data.
