This was an account and project management role working with Jaguar Cars and Aston Martin.We won the contract to supply Jaguar Cars with an automatic, dual-zone climate control system (commonplace features now but very innovative at the time) for their luxurious XJ-8 saloon and beautiful XK-8 sports car. The system not only gave their customers a more comfortable environment but Denso's quality contributed to the turnaround in Jaguar's perception in the market and their JD Powers rating.

• Included 6 month secondment to AP Italia to train design team in brake technology and introduce a new range of brakes.• Designed brakes for Fiat and Rover using CAD and CAE methods from initial concept to production release.• Employed techniques including QFD (Quality Function Deployment), Design of Experiments, FMEA and cost optimisation to deliver robust, competitive, light-weight designs.
