Studied mechanisms of limb outgrowth and patterning, and signaling pathways that regulate directional migration and oriented cell division during vertebrate embryogenesis. Specialized in performing in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry procedures to stain both control and experiment embryos of chickens and mice. Synthesized mRNA probes, prepared antibodies, and mixed solutions for our own and others' procedures. Also trained others in our procedures.

Secondarily, maintained and repaired existing demonstration materials and, with a team of three students and a professor, built a new demonstration for atomic chain reactions.
