While everyday at Tome is unique, my role was focused on optimizing the backend and providing devops support for Komz a cyclist app with the mission of "Getting Butts in Saddles"Past work has included computer vision, mostly with OpenCV, but also experimenting with AI/Machine Learning (ML) with TensorFlow.

When I joined Tome Software my role was focused around OfficeIQ, a software/sensor solution for sit/stand desks with our furniture partner, Humanscale. I was quickly brought up to speed and took over the backend development and devops role for Office IQ, working with a wide range of technologies: docker, rabbitmq, postgres, redis, cassandra and more. Continuous integration and Continuous delivery was setup using docker hub and docker cloud for the app, but also managed a deployment FOTA process using apt for our embedded devices. During the closed beta and product launch I helped not only with code deployment but worked on various bug fixes as well as new features such as a billing system. My work for the billing system covered both frontend (angular) and backend (node.js) development as well as 3rd party integrations (Stripe). For CES 2017 I prototyped an integration of Office IQ with FitBit using the FitBit API. Additionally I built my first iOS app (Swift), OfficeIQ Admin which helps customers with the setup and install of Office IQ. While no two days are the same at Tome I also get the chance to work on a lot of cool prototype projects. These products vary in scope, most of the work covers both hardware embedded devices (Raspberry Pi/Odroid C2) as well as software (node.js/python/bash) and of course playing with new technologies.

While working at USA Rx I was responsible for all technology including leading the development team to build our internal sales system (CRM), 3rd party data integrations/APIs, custom reporting and launching a new product, Right Now Dental, a dental discount service. The custom CRM system was built from the ground up and used by over 800+ sales reps daily covering over 40,000+ medical practices nationwide, in partnership with a Fortune 300 company. The technology stack for this CRM includes Node.js/Express.js, MongoDB, jQuery/Twitter Bootstrap, CSS3 and HTML5. There were many 3rd party API integrations built for the CRM: including SendGrid for trigger emails, AfterShip for package delivery, Geocodio for latitude and longitude data, Heroku one-off dyno’s for scaling and schedule scripts, Amazon S3 for storage of reports and assets, Google Maps and Google Charts to showcase the medical practices data and demographic data.In addition to the CRM I leveraged our internal data from our Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) I built a Medicine Finder and Pharmacy Finder to provide the ability to look up specific drug pricing data and find pharmacies by name or zipcode. Right Now Dental launched in September 2015 as a dental discount service helping consumers save money on their dental needs. I built the initial ecommerce website using HTML5, CSS3, Twitter Bootstrap, Node.js/Express.js, MongoDB and Stripe for payment.

Previously to joining College Board full-time I had worked as a consultant for 3 years and 3 months. While full-time I continued to developed and performed SEO strategies such as on-page optimization as well as backlinking campaigns. Much of my focus was on the migration of our homepage as well as the migration of our About, Membership and Press sites from different subdomains to the top level domain of collegeboard.org. Leveraging SEO best practices as well as proper redirects to maintain rankings.

uBlanket was a bootstrapped profitable web-based consumer products company specializing in upcycling: converting waste or useless materials into new products. uBlanket sold T-shirt blankets to hundreads of customers using their own clothes/shirts and allowing them to design their blanket, 100% custom made to order, using our custom made web-based software (CodeIgniter/jQuery/HTML/CSS). Customers could design unique blankets from T-shirts that they have collected from high school, college, sports, or other lifestyle activities and/or purchases.

Managed and Launched a new startup, SEO Drop where we created various Search Engine Optimization tools for clients and agencies. I also worked one on one with clients customizing their websites and performing backlink campaigns.
