I am working with PSI-Global Services Hub's board colleagues to provide mission-based leadership and strategic guidance to the management team of PSI in Kenya, serving to sharpen the organization's strategic priorities.

WISER works with girls to transcend poverty, HIV/AIDS, and gender-based violence. We do this by creating environments that empower young women to drive change in their communities.

Leads a team of health informatics specialists in building new businesses centered around the creation of efficiencies for medical payers and private providers. Currently rolling out an Electronic Data Interchange for claims processing/pre-authorization transactions between payers,providers and their patients. Also leads Savannah Informatics collaboration with the Kenya's Ministry of Health, donor and academic partners.Acts as a liaison between Savannah Informatics and other organizations/business leaders in creation of new partnerships that leverage current and future capabilities. Works with other directors/co-founders in creating a learning culture for the organization that accommodates new members and affiliates itself with the best in market technologies and sources of talent.

Technical advisor to the IFC TechEmerge Program in Eastern African region. Initial activities included conducting a regulatory review of the health sector digital health needs, to determine opportunities and limitations for both local, and international providers of health technology solutions. After this we engaged and mapped the needs of healthcare service providers in the sub-region, including hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs, etc. This was then followed by the screening and evaluation of health-tech companies (Innovators) who had proven technologies from around the world, including home-grown technologies, and matched the selected top Innovators with Eastern African Providers. Alongside the team from Catalyst Health, we supported Innovators and Providers to conduct pilot projects to test and validate the technologies which led to the adoption and uptake of some of the technologies through commercial partnerships. The project covered Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya covering 20 provider-innovator pairs.

Founded a technology based education start-up that leveraged on smart phone and internet penetration in Kenya to deliver high quality appropriate courses and examination contents, information on careers, colleges and various study abroad connections. Venture did not move beyond the proof of concept stage.Major roles included working with the founding team in product development, raising venture capital, market identification and recruitment of strategic content partners.

My team worked to on mHealth product development, marching the identified market needs with in-house products. I also worked with Avallain's global and Kenyan partners across project management roles while serving as the face of Avallain within the health and technology business networks.

Currently serving as a consultant to the hospital where I am helping define and identify business requirements for the Business Intelligence efforts. Mostly achieving this by using tools such as industry research, interviews with opinion leaders at Duke University Healthy Systems and at WCRMC, and identifying market shifts defined by regulatory bodies. Also, I am delivering on key BI metrics for various departments focusing on clinical quality, productivity, financial status and customer service. This has led to creation of balanced score cards aligned to make WCRMC a health intelligence savvy institution. The other side of this consulting engagement involves partnering with the IT department at WCRMC to identify the data-points from different IT systems in use at the facility, route them through Pentahoo's analytic software suite for ETL and dashboard reporting.The future phases of the project will involve identifying and working with an independent BI vendor who will integrate the business requirements for BI with the available IT resources - to create strategic IT value and provide real-time actionable clinical, financial, and operational KPIs for effective decision making.

� Developed a leadership and mentorship development program for 1000 university students on college scholarship by the Equity Bank Group.� Led the technical secretariat team that oversaw a national leadership congress attended by a select 3,200 college and high school students identified on their demonstrated potential for leadership and academic achievement in 2011.

Performed surgical and medical duties in a 120-bed military referral hospital for the Kenyan Defence Forces.

Co Founded (with Millicent Njeri Mugweru) a social enterprise that sought to capture and deliver through its various media platforms what corporate for profit and NFPs were doing towards the sustainable development of Africa. I helped lead a team of 3 journalists involved in the compilation and publishing of the CSR Africa Daily, available online at www.csrafrica.netThe venture did not scale, but could break even with advertising and consulting revenue. With CMS and websites design work having been outsourced to Palsoft Group (Justus Kilonzi) and desktop publishing to Hyperion Consulting (Ngure Nyaga), CSR Africa formed the early collaboration efforts between ourselves which would lead to the co-founding of Savannah Informatics in late 2012, with Paul Mutinda being the additional founding member.
