    Technical advisor to the IFC TechEmerge Program in Eastern African region. Initial activities included conducting a regulatory review of the health sector digital health needs, to determine opportunities and limitations for both local, and international providers of health technology solutions. After this we engaged and mapped the needs of healthcare service providers in the sub-region, including hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs, etc. This was then followed by the screening and evaluation of health-tech companies (Innovators) who had proven technologies from around the world, including home-grown technologies, and matched the selected top Innovators with Eastern African Providers. Alongside the team from Catalyst Health, we supported Innovators and Providers to conduct pilot projects to test and validate the technologies which led to the adoption and uptake of some of the technologies through commercial partnerships. The project covered Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya covering 20 provider-innovator pairs.

The other side of this consulting engagement involves partnering with the IT department at WCRMC to identify the data-points from different IT systems in use at the facility, route them through Pentahoo's analytic software suite for ETL and dashboard reporting.The future phases of the project will involve identifying and working with an independent BI vendor who will integrate the business requirements for BI with the available IT resources - to create strategic IT value and provide real-time actionable clinical, financial, and operational KPIs for effective decision making.
