Teaching undergraduate mechanical engineering majors the skills they need to use SolidWorks efficiently and get their CSWA

We are a team of student engineers from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Every year we design, fabricate, and race our custom off-road vehicle in the Baja SAE Collegiate Design Series.

Ran tests and collected data to help improve manufacturing processes. Accumulated over 800 hours of SolidWorks and 300 hours of 3D Printing time designing and manufacturing parts used for assembly fixtures and production jigs. Created drawings with the use of GD&T to convey design intent and ensure parts are able to interface with each other. Documented and stored production equipment in a PLM to help standardize and organize the manufacturing floor

Prepared and expedited dishes in a fast-paced environment that averaged over 100 orders a night, ensured food preparation workspaces were sufficiently stocked with supplies and maintained a safe and clean working environment to prevent injuries and contamination.

Identified invasive species located on the Sudbury River posing a threat to its ecosystem, collected and disposed of over 400 Water Chestnuts a week for 8 weeks and led river ecosystem to expand and allowed beneficial species to thrive.
