My expertise is consulting with borrowers in Baltimore City who are interested in renovation loans, community lending programs, and Baltimore City, State of Maryland, and non-profit grants and subordinate loans for down payments and closing costs. Since I started with M&T, I have helped homebuyers and homeowners obtain over $60M renovation loans, and the majority of the borrowers closed with either a grant or subordinate loan from Baltimore City, the State of Maryland, or a non-profit company. I’ve also been the loan originator for 2 new loan programs created by M&T Bank for 2 very important customers. The first loan program was for a non-profit company that was important for M&T Bank meeting its Community Reinvestment (CRA) goals for the Federal Reserve. The other loan program was for a large Mid-Atlantic real estate developer that needed a special program to help the initial buyers purchase new homes in its new subdivision in west Baltimore. I’ve also developed my own reports to help with managing and analyzing the production of these programs, and I host a bi-weekly pipeline meeting with M&T Bank's operations team and the management of a non-profit housing company to review all of the loans currently in the processing pipeline. I worked with M&T Bank's operation, product management, and IT departments to streamline processes, correct compliance issues and resolve IT problems. By working together, we have reduced by over 50% the time it takes to pre-approve borrowers, increased production by over 20% and reduced the processing of a loan by 15 days.I present monthly at workshops about the renovation loan process and using Baltimore City grants and subordinate loans for down payments and closing costs.

• Worked with real estate agents and their customers to review the mortgage loan process, pre-approve them for their loans for sales contracts, and monitor and update the real estate agent and their customer about the loan process from application through closing. • Met with office managers weekly to review loan production, discuss marketing plans, and resolve loan issues. Together, we were responsible for meeting loan production goals, updating the real estate agents about changes in the mortgage industry, and scheduling mortgage workshops and one on one training for the agents.• Worked in Maryland and Delaware as a regional mortgage advisor promoting PHH Mortgage's telephone origination platform to over 30 real estate offices. Grew the region to be in the top 10% of the regions in the country• Instructor for Mortgage Finance classes for continuing education requirements.
