My duties and responsibilities as a barista at The Memphian Hotel include opening and closing the coffee shop each day, preparing specialty craft espresso beverages, conducting customer orders and transactions, ensuring quality drinks for the customer, and delivering food to the customer in a timely manner. Each day, I strive to provide customers with a positive, memorable experience at The Memphian.

As a barista at Ugly Mug Coffee, I prepared hand crafted espresso drinks, blended beverages, pastries, and food items, while also operating the POS system through a drive through, inside cafe, and a mobile app based ordering system. I was also tasked with the opening and closing of the coffee shop, including daily brewing, preparation of cold brew, food prep, and register maintenance.

As a Shift Lead at Plato’s Closet, I was responsible for coordinating the efforts of crew members (cashiers and buyers) to buy in new inventory, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain the overall experience and cleanliness of the store. My responsibilities also included daily register opening and closing, completing customer returns, and more.
