Additionally, I spearhead successful negotiations for high-stakes property deals, such as the strategic sales of New York City and Chicago portfolios and the acquisition of vintage office buildings for adaptive reuse. I also oversee multiple construction projects across various cities, collaborating with municipalities, stakeholders, and vendors to secure necessary entitlements and approvals.

During this time, I negotiated third-party management agreements with industry leaders to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. I built strategic partnerships with construction firms, guiding projects from the design phase through securing financing, while maintaining strict adherence to budget constraints. Furthermore, I orchestrated refinancing and recapitalization efforts during economic downturns, achieving significant equity recapture and reductions in interest expenses.

In this role, I spearheaded the creative repositioning of real estate assets, securing long-term leases with high-profile tenants, such as Nordstrom and Tractor Supply Company. I orchestrated the strategic sale of a portion of a Queens development for $23M, eliminating the equity investment and recapitalizing the project at no cost to the company. Additionally, I navigated the capitalization of mixed-use and parking developments, showcasing my versatility in real estate development and financing. I also implemented innovative financing strategies during challenging economic cycles, reinforcing my reputation as a decisive and strategic leader in the real estate industry.

As part of the executive management team, I contributed to strategic initiatives and the operational management of a multifamily portfolio consisting of 6,000 units. I successfully sourced over $130 million in capital for development projects, strengthening the company’s financial foundation. I initiated Banner’s multifamily development platform by acquiring a full city block in downtown Raleigh, advancing a joint venture to construct a 224-unit apartment community that later commanded a $50M sale. Founded Banner Storage Group and built a $155M pipeline of storage developments in urban infill markets throughout the US, capitalizing on the synergies between the multifamily and self-storage sectors. Furthermore, I forged a joint venture partnership with The Hartford Group, leading to the strategic acquisition of multifamily properties in Charlotte and Raleigh valued at over $80 million. I also orchestrated a long-term growth strategy, repositioning the brand by divesting dated assets to invest in modern properties with sought-after amenities in desirable, growing markets.
