We have agreed seven-figure funding agreements from a standing start.Prior to this I was the Head of Operations & Finance at the refugee charity Migrateful. I have a passion for enterprise and community-building, positive social change and sustainability. I am a meditator and have run mindfulness groups and retreats, a keen swimmer, around-town cyclist and enjoy yoga.My background is as a Chartered Structural Engineer at Arup, where I worked for 9 years. Key projects included: - Coal Drops Yard. A multi-award winning £100m transformation of a Grade II Listed building in King's Cross London. - The British Library of the North. A challenging restoration of a Grade I listed building to house a new national library in Temple Works, Leeds. - The masterplan for a zero-carbon refurbishment of a Grade I listed palace complex in central London. I worked within Arup's Advanced Digital Engineering practice and formerly their Advanced Technology + Research practice. I am experienced in heritage and existing structures, non-linear finite element analysis, structural dynamics and a range of digital tools. I am a professionally Chartered Engineer with both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers.I founded the volunteer-run London mindfulness group for families, Family Sangha London (www.familysanghalondon.com) and occasionally run community-building workshops and meditation retreats in my spare time.
