Repairs Coordinator Supervisor
CurrentAdorama's Used Department takes used equipment in all conditions and variety. Sometime our margins can multiplied by coordinating a repair. This position requires specific knowledge of brands and manufactory history, while working with Original Equipment Manufacturers and 3rd Party Repair Houses. Everything from scratched sensors, fungus in lenses, broken motors, electronic errors, or anything that can break an electronic. We always try to attempt any repairs or service in house, but is difficult with most of our products. The Repairs Coordinator Supervisor is also in charge of managing and tracking spare parts and supplies for the entire Used Departments. Cameras and lenses are paired with any necessary caps, cords, batteries, and power adaptors. Model specific parts are needed in most areas to keep up with constant changes to product. Ordering items require creating and tracking purchase orders within AS400, with monthly credit card statement reconciliation to accounting. Tracking supplies and repair costs gives the Used Department breakdowns for costs and times, meaning more ac curate projections for yearly, quarterly, and monthly estimates. This position also coordinates with the New York branch to manage repairs and spare parts for out of state locations. Supplies orders are placed in daily, monthly, and yearly increments. As Supervisor, I have one direct report who I am in charge of giving jobs and walking through projects. I've created S.O.P.s for all aspects of the position with policy guides for all vendors. I have caught the company up on months of overdue payments and hanging invoices, in addition to overseeing large yearly supply orders with 10,000+ pieces.
