Began as a Public Safety Officer. Assisted the public, patients, and employees of their safety. Backed up the police officer on the Dallas campus. Applied and accepted the position of Fleet and Equipment coordinator in April 2001. Managed approximately 50 vehicles on nine different campuses. Supervised two employees. Scheduled them for regular and emergency duties that occurred with vehicles. Ensured that vehicles were taken for repairs, evaluated vehicles on daily/monthly basis for preventive maintenance, maintained records on each vehicle [set up system using "ARMS" software program for analysis/budget purposes], kept up-to-date inspections, vehicle registrations and insurance. Kept records on all accidents and insured that all vehicles were maintained for availability. Checked accuracy of invoices and gave them to accounting assistant to insure payment. Also, purchased and issued uniforms and hardware for police officers, public safety officers, and parking personnel.
