Other key roles includes the following;• Procure all external need (raw material, production goods, office materials, computers etc.)• Perform RFQs and RFPs to invite suppliers to bid on supplies.• Negotiate and settle with suppliers in regards to rejections, losses, returns of materials and engineering changes.• Manage supplier delivery and quality performance.• Develop alternate sourcing.• Analyze bid quotations for factors such as terms and conditions, price, delivery, quality control.• Review purchase requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in the description of materials and equipment, quantity and quality requirement.• Coordinate the evaluation and approval process for over 300 purchase orders while adhering to stringent quality standards.• Forge and foster relationships with over 50 vendors, ensuring compliance and timely receipt of products, maintaining on-time delivery rate.• Negotiate terms with suppliers that leads to a reduction of lead times by 20%, resulting in enhance inventory turnover.• Manage software (SAGE X3) that tracks orders and creates purchase orders for entire company.• Work with receiving and accounts payable for timely resolution of issues.• Accurate documentation of file details so that team members know the status of acquisition of materials or invoices.• Investigate discrepancies between purchase orders, vendor agreements and vendor invoices.
