The Blue Star Families Outdoor Fellow plays a key role in enriching outdoor experiences for military families. This position involves skillfully organizing and advocating for inclusive outdoor activities, actively fostering community engagement, and championing the well-being of military families through nature-based initiatives. Outdoor Fellows are dedicated to cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment, nurturing connections, and creating valuable opportunities for military families to collectively embrace the benefits of outdoor recreation.

Facilitate classroom training and Veteran/Spouse professional and personal development. Regularly evaluate the program to assess suitability and the need for changes. Maintain records of graduating ONU Veterans and Spouses to include their professional goals, activities, and accomplishments. Track and perpetually update ONU Veteran and Spouse employment success rate and engagement rate in company’s CRM. Hold ONU Veterans and Spouses accountable for career-seeking behaviors and develop a program for logging, tracking, and verifying their efforts. Represent the organization objectives at official functions/events, if necessary. Form, grow and develop a network of individuals, organizations, and businesses to help facilitate the professional success of ONU Veterans and Spouses. Provide information to Programs Outreach Manager for monthly meetings, organization officials, or staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.Help with planning and coordination of Vet Appreciation nights, workshops, and other ONU Program-related events. Facilitate the building of professional relationships with businesses, local chambers, and workforce development organizations (CareerSource).

As Care Coordinator-Veterans I provided comprehensive system navigation and support through intake, screening, assessment, referral, and linkages to behavioral health services; via telephone, email, IM/Chat, text messaging and in-person for clients with mental health concerns or identified suicidal ideation of low to moderate lethality. The CCV also provides support and training for staff and community agencies on program-related topics. This position reports to the Manager –Veterans and Peers Initiatives (MVP) and in his or her absence the Senior Director – Gateway Services.

• Plan, manage, and coordinate program life cycle logistics. Monitor, evaluate, and coordinate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plan implementation.• Participate in integrated logistics support management team meetings, program management reviews, and other related meetings.• Consider all factors impacting logistic design and support, including research and development, emerging technologies, testing, procurement strategy, supply support, personnel, and training and recommend appropriate action.• Evaluate alternatives and make recommendations to logistic support for life cycle costs to ensure optimal use of resources without degrading operational readiness.• Review or create logistics support documentation, including ILS plans, technical orders, technical manuals, and work specifications.

• Advised the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) military supply technicians on proper receipt processing, storage, and distribution of inbound spares and equipment in support of third largest F-15 fighter operation. • Developed receiving operations policy for routine and priority spares destined for four F-15 Fighter bases eliminating over 90 days of backlogged receipts worth $120 million.• Utilized advance knowledge of the GOLD logistics Management System to implement a robust reject management plan for receipts not-due in for both reparable and consumable spares and equipment.• Spearheaded offline shipment procedures for F-15S Conversion Program and special equipment marked for upgrades and repair.

• Served as Lead Staff Officer in charge of managing strategic logistics planning, manpower/equipment staging efforts, and rapid deployments in the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. • Instrumental in validating high visibility logistics plans in support of troop strength reduction in Afghanistan.• Provided force flow planning and monitoring expertise to develop logistics plans, personnel deployment orders, analysis, estimates, and briefings for contingency and exercise operations in USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR)• Collected and vetted Time Phased Forced Deployment Data (TPFDD) analysis during planning and execution of deployment operations via Joint Operational Planning and Execution System (JOPES). • Coordinated all logistics planning with staff composed of over 58 Coalition representatives regarding the USCENTCOM AOR.• Developed strategic transportation data and oversaw integration into appropriate mobility systems.• Served as Action Officer responsible for validating/executing training plans for newly assigned joint service ready-augmentees. • Validated and verified Proof of Principle (POP) scenarios to redirect over 10,000 air passengers via alternate European locations during a Pakistan Ground Lines of Communication (GLOC) closure without degradation in operations.

• Assisted in executing logistic plans in support of contingencies and exercises in European Command (EUCOM) AOR. • Lead logistics activities impacting 700+ overseas and Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel and ten aircraft. • Coordinated base operating support at deployed locations in addition to conducting site surveys, air assessments, and bed down of forces for multiple exercise and deployment. • Conducted installation surveys to determine support capability, managed limiting factors, and provided planning support for associated units.• Oversaw group-wide Support Agreement Management (SAM), Air and Space Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART), & Unit Deployment Manager Programs. • Managed Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) exercise logistics contingency issues, to include emergency lodging, via AFSOC Air Rapid Response Kit (ARRK) tent system.

• Managed 10 Memorandum of Agreements (MOA)/Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) and 14 support agreements valued at $1.1M for entire base operation. • Utilized Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) to verify security clearance level of base personnel.• Weapons manager responsible for weapons assignment to deploying personnel and monitoring of wing weapons/equipment accounts valued at over $119K.• Wing VTC monitor responsible for maintaining the functionality of critical communications resources. • Utilized over six years of experience as Status of Resources and Training (SORTS) and ART Manger to ensure proper communication of organizational readiness status to higher headquarters.

• Requisitioned, managed, and maintained all Due-in From Maintenance (DIFM), Mission Capable (MICAP) F-22A Raptor aircraft parts. • Reviewed and monitored repair cycle assets management listing and other pertinent supply products to ensure critical reparable assets flowed through repair-cycle without issues. • Coordinated all supply matters with base supply units. Inventoried/managed Tail Number Bin (TNB) and parts removed to Facilitate Other Maintenance (FOM) assets. • Controlled and monitored unit bench stock to include inventory, requisition, and deletion of assets. Provided maintenance with training on virtual bench stock management and turn-ins.

• Supervised five military personnel, in addition to the receipt, inspection and turn-in of DIFM assets to support 77 combat-ready F-15C/D fighter aircraft. • Directed movement of Not Repairable This Station (NRTS), Two-Level Maintenance and Agile Logistics assets through transportation channels. • Coordinated delivery of serviceable/unserviceable assets to applicable warehouses, Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office area and Outbound Cargo Movement Element. • Operated Supply Asset Tracking Systems, hand held terminals, and computer operating programs. • Procured over $550K in essential supplies as Government Purchase Card holder for the organization during Hurricane Isabel recovery efforts. • Spearheaded semi-annual reconciliation of four supply points consisting of 121 items and monitored 1,296 TCTO kits valued at $15M.

• Responsible to the Chief of Supply for the receipt, inspection, issue, and delivery of hazardous material (HM) for all Langley AFB units, including 77 combat ready F-15s and 31 associate units. • Provided information on Hazardous Material (HM) to Base Civil Engineering and Base Bioenvironmental offices for required federal, state, and local reporting. • Performs warehouse validations and inventories for three stockrooms.

• Maintained safe warehouse environment in Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) warehouse. In-checked, stored, and issued HAZMAT. • Processed receipts into AF-EMIS and barcodes property upon receipt to ensure timely reporting. • Processed 4,000 hazardous assets into AF-EMIS monthly; ensured all items were correctly selected, barcoded, and delivered to customers. • Assisted in inspection of 5,000 units of HAZMAT for serviceability and shelf-life management. Obtained MSDS for 70 hazardous items stored in the HAZMAT bulk storage resulting in full compliance of occupation Safety and Health Administration directives.

• Utilized Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) program for base vehicle fleet in addition to negotiating support agreements and conducting vehicle analyses. • Maintained control register for all requisitions ordered through Base Supply on daily basis. • Supervised vehicle operations/dispatch by directing vehicle transportation support requirements, monitoring supply bench stock, and Contacted Operated Store (COPARS) work stock levels and expenditures.
