My role as an Daytime Undergraduate Admissions Counselor allowed me to gain experience in task management, communication workflow, relational development, event coordination, financial planning, and encouraging people to pursue their career dreams and the educational goals that they have set before themselves.• As an Admissions Counselor, I worked closely with hundreds of students and their families, and brought in over 115 students, who deposited and committed, to the university each year that I worked there, contributing to three consecutive record-breaking years of enrollment in Palm Beach Atlantic University's history.• I learned to creatively engage with students' and families' questions and expectations and assess and inform them on how the university would meet their needs.• I worked with families on some minor financial planning, informing on how to take out loans, set up payment plans, search for scholarship, and maintain solid financial structure, depending on their individual situations.• I learned how to work with people of very diverse backgrounds and with very diverse interests and serve each person and family as individuals who have unique stories, needs, and goals, that do not fit into one particular mold or box.• I travelled on the road as a representative, visiting high schools and college fairs, for over four weeks at a time, meeting families, guidance counselors, and prospective students, answering questions and information about Palm Beach Atlantic Universities many programs and opportunities. I travelled through 4 states and was often in a new city every day.
