Assist the Executive Director of TEBE by providing regular updates, assisting with yearly strategic planning, and consulting on program planning and staff hiring. Working with the Executive Director to ensure that all engineering majors are offered programs and support through TEBE.Supervise, hire and train program staff within Engineering Student Life (ESL), Equal Opportunity in Engineering (EOE), Women in Engineering Program (WEP) and associated administrative support. Coordinate work expectations, onboarding, training and schedules. Direct and coordinate TEBE initiatives with WEP/EOE/ESL staff including regular assessment of program offerings. Meeting weekly on all programs area offerings.Assist with overseeing the TEBE Admitted Student Program. Assist with overall program coordination, communication and content development. Attend and participate in CSE and department collaborative recruitment events and programs.Oversee and direct all financial/accounting processes and student hiring with TEBE administrative staff.Support Cockrell School Student Success Initiatives including supporting EAB Navigate implementation in TEBE, participating in various CSE and ESS Leadership meetings including monthly Student Division team meetings.

•Collaborate with campus partners to increase the recruitment and retention of students who come from are low income, with disabilities, are first generation, veterans and underserved communities•Develop and sustain new and existing donor relationships, at times in collaboration with the CSE Development staff and the Division of Campus and Community Engagement, to execute fundraising plans for increasing corporate, foundation, and individual donor support to meet programmatic goals•Budget and manage an annual budget of of $500,000+•Direct strategic activities for the EOE programs including initiating new programs based on strategy and assessments, evaluate existing programs through assessment, attrition and retention data and modify all programs as part of goals, mission and vision review process•Supervise staff (program coordinators, administrative assistants and both graduate and undergraduate student workers)•Represent the CSE on school and university-level committees designed to promote the success of undergraduate students•Support Engineering Student Services programs including collaborating with the Engineering Career Assistance Center, Recruiting office, Scholarship office, Success Programs and Advising office•Build and maintain Alumni pipelines to assist with programming support and operational guidance•Strengthen Partnerships with the Austin area community and student organizations•Advise and mentor 4 student organizations (Pi Sigma Pi, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and Graduate for Underrepresented Minorities

Lead the development coordination and evaluation efforts for EOE Academic Programs, such as: Tutoring Program, First Year Interests Groups, Engineering Peer Leaders, EOE Summer Orientation Seminars, and Academic Leaders Hall of Fame, Success Programs, etc. Responsible for development and implementation of EOE Student Staff training, including EOE tutors and Engineering Peer Leaders. Collect supporting data via several databases that will be used to enhance current EOE Academic Programs' current curriculum and funding. Develop strategic plan to enhance EOE retention efforts. Serve as facilitator for multiple FIGs in both the fall and spring semesters. Lead the development of seminar lesson plans and worksheets for EOE FIGs based on educational theories and research. Serve as facilitator for new transfer student initiatives. Monitor academic progress of EOE student population. Provide information, guidance, and referrals (related to UT, CSE, student services, curriculum, student life, etc.) in response to email, phone, and in-person inquiries from current students, parents, and other interested parties. Interact and advise with student leaders of Pi Sigma Pi, SHPE and NSBE and monitor their academic standing. Serve as EOE representative at student organization meetings. Assist student leaders with logistics for their academic related events. Attend and assist with EOE lead events. Represent EOE as required during meetings with students, university personnel (including campus-wide meetings on Student Retention, CSE Orientation Committee, CSE FIG Committee), community and professional groups. Recruit faculty, staff, alumni, and industry to mentor students and assist with implementation of EOE academic programs. Assist director in writing grants, proposals and reports. Manage budget projections and track costs for all academic programs.

Provide routine academic and registration advising, providing academic and non-academic support and appropriate University and community referrals to both current and prospective students. Create and maintain student records through Advisor Toolkit, Mainframe, G4 and IDA 2.0. Responsible for grade reporting for organized and individual instruction courses within the department. Coordinate final exam waivers and room requests for faculty. Order textbooks for department organized courses and individual instruction. Reserve ECJ classrooms on Outlook Calendar in collaboration with department course scheduler. Complete final degree checks for all graduating seniors in collaboration with the Academic Advising Coordinator. Provide additional advising support to at-risk students to increase retention and four-year graduation rates. Collect, edit and post course syllabi each semester in accordance with legislation. Participate in various academic outreach events within the department, school and university such as orientation, Family Weekend, Gone to Engineering, First-Year Interest Groups and commencement. Attend department, school and university meetings as necessary. Maintain professional development through membership/participation in professional organizations and interaction with other advisors. Provide cross-advising to graduate students in collaboration with the academic advising team. Assist with other department functions as needed.
