Prof. Johnny Ip has been working in the IT and technology industry for more than 30 years. He has been actively promoting industry collaborations for international, Asia-Pacific, China and cross-strait regions many years. He has been awarded and commended by the Friends of the United Nations, the US Congress, the US California Senate and several cities in California. Prof. Ip also awarded the United Nations 2011 Youth IT Promotion Award and other international and national awards. Prof. Ip is widely interviewed and reported by media in Hong Kong, China and overseas.Prof. Ip has been actively participating in international and regional social affairs for many years. His current positions include the Executive Chairman of World Trade United Foundation (an UN Consultative NGO), Senior Advisor of the United Nations Ethnic Chinese Union, Honorary Chairman of the United Chinese Commerce Association of Australia and tens other international and national capicities. In academic area, Prof. Ip is currently Deputy Director (part-time) of China Academy of Management Development Science Industry Development Research Institute, Guest Professor of Business School of China Academy of Management Science, Special Research Fellow of the Academic Committee of China Academy of Management Science.Prof. Ip has worked for the multi-national news agency giant Reuters for 16 years and had served a number of senior positions. Prof. Ip was also the Chief Architect and Technology Evangelist of Reuters Asia, representing Asia and Pacific to participate a member of the Reuters Global Internet, Data Network Technology and Management Steering Committees; participated in the formulation of global strategies for Reuters Internet, information networks and technical architecture.Prof. Ip has subsequently served as Project Director of the Innovation Technology Center of the Chinese University of Hong Kong; Partner of a software outsourcing company that has been granted the “Accredited Agency of the China to Europe/US Software Outsourcing Program”; Executive Director and Head of Business Development of Far East Holdings International Limited, a Hong Kong mainboard listed technology venture capital and investment company. Prof. Ip is currently Vice President and CIO of Heaven Spring Dynasty Harvest Group, a Hong Kong based international company with world’s leading atmospheric water generation patented technologies and a number of other quantum and health equipment technologies.
