My duties were involved working with both Drilling and Production teams.Cementing the wells, running packers and bi-monthly Testing of the BOP's were some of mymany duties. Involvement with Safety and Environmental Teams.During Production operations I ran and installed the SSSCV. (sub surface safety controlvalve) I also troubleshot these valves from the control panel, once getting a valve to operatein lieu of having to skid the rig over the well and pull the valve.Prior to performing my duties in the Gulf Of Mexico I worked for Halliburton on the NorthSlope of Alaska.My station there lasted 12 years, 5 of the 12 years my family and I lived in Eagle River,Ak.While living in Alaska I commuted to the Slope on a 7 and 7 schedule. My role as a FieldSupervisor placed me in charge of a 50+ man camp. Most of my time was spent submittingbids for work, directing day to day camp activities and directing field activities.For 7 years I worked the field as a Tool Operator and Tester working a 21/21 rotation tothe lower 48.Prior to Alaska I worked on a 28/28 overseas rotation to Libya. I worked for 1 year inthe desert teaching a local how to operate the equipment and calculate the necessarycalculations necessary to run a successful job.During my second year I was assigned to an offshore rig in the Mediterranean. My work wasvery challenging at times as I was the only American aboard, working for an ItalianOperator. They were very pleased with my work ethics.I started work for Halliburton in Alice Texas, June 17, 1977.I was immediately placed on a pump truck crew and within 6 months of service I wasrunning my own crew. Unplanned circumstances forced me to take a job for Halliburton in the Gulf in 1979.I worked on a jack-up rig off the coast of Corpus Christi for 9 months.
