Gorgon LNG Project:The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and the largest single-resource development in Australia. The Gorgon Project includes a three-train liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility on Barrow Island that will produce 15.6 million metric tons of LNG per year. It also includes a domestic natural gas plant and a carbon sequestration project. Bradgate were awarded a £20 million contract to supply 13 Blast proof, modular steel Field Electrical Rooms five of which are also supplied with a Fire Proof coating. Each building is supplied to Project as a complete unit with all internal equipment installed, all interface wiring installed and all Systems fully commissioned.In the 3 years I have worked on the Gorgon Project my duties have included:-. Producing Electrical Schematics. Producing Power & Lighting Layouts. Producing Lighting Calculations. Producing Earthing Arrangement Layouts. Producing Telecom & Security Schematics / Layouts. Producing Power Distribution Drawings. Designing & Shipping Engraved Labels. Liaising with manufacturers and distributors. Whilst working at Cobham I was trained to be able to use various pressure moulding machines to create many items for the Aerospace and Military industry. As well as using the moulding machines I would also take moulded items and use various hand tools to give the products a professional finish ready for dispatch.
