I manage a house of 9 people, 4 residents with special needs and 5 staff at a residential post secondary education community. This means that I provide direct care and support for the 4 residents as well as managing the other staff to make sure that they are caring for the residents in the correct manner. I also communicate directly with families about the well being of their children.

During my internship I worked closely with refugees from all over the world, mainly Myanmar and Iraq. I assisted in finding housing and providing proper living items for the refugees before they arrived in America. I also picked up clients from the airport when they first arrived. This internship was a 400-hour course worth 6 credit hours for Ball State University.
