Stations are amazed at the sudden increase in creativity and quality along with a staggering increase in the quantity of production – from office to studio to field!With a background in news, writing, and video production, I am proud to apply for any media job! I believe the skills I’ve developed make me an excellent candidate, as I have worked as an anchor, reporter, producer, writer, editor, and cameraman around Southern California and Louisiana! I am currently the weekday Morning News Anchor at ABC7 in Amarillo, Texas. The day starts with laying out the two-and-a-half-hour show, proofreading copy, and preparing for the anchor desk. Next comes producing, writing and anchoring live GMA cut ins. And then writing, producing and anchoring Midday News at eleven.Before my return to anchoring news, I worked on video production, the internet, writing, inventions, and raising a family. I hosted and produced informational and commercial packages covering businesses around California, and in Baton Rouge.In 2012, I was morning News Anchor with the NBC affiliate in Palm Springs. I came in at 11p, gathered stories, wrote copy, and laid out entire content for a two-hour morning newscast leading into NBC's "Today Show". After my first six months, my hours changed as we added another newscast following Today from 9am-11am.I also spent 15 years at LA’s independent KDOC-TV handling all production, promotions and programming. I started as a Promotions Assistant and worked my way up to Production Manager overseeing a staff of 13 full-time and part-time employees.
