Good listeners are also good at rallying support and loyalty because my solutions communicate understanding.3. EmpathyWhen I'm trying to sell from a prospect's perspective, i.e. "becoming a customer," that's the best selling. Effectively connecting with prospects and understanding when there are feelings of doubt, hesitation, and excitement can allow the connection to be made on a deeper level than sales. Using words like "I understand" or "I'm sorry" shows that I do care about the needs and pain of the prospect.4. OptimisticMarketing Donuts states that 44% of salespeople give up after one "no", 22% give up after two "nos" and 14% give up after three "nos", while 12% of salespeople give up after four “nos.” Continued play usually pays off when many sales occur after the fifth sale. Being optimistic when chasing a prospect or prospect opens up opportunities that you can't gain by giving up early.5. ElasticitySales are filled with countless successes and many more failures.
