TRAFFIC ANALYST with City of Waco, Waco, TX Traffic Engineering Division (10/2008 to present)• Utilize AutoCAD 2016, ArcGIS, MS Office Suite, TimeMark Vias, Jamar and Miovision Scout.• Prioritize and complete numerous concurrent projects at fast pace in a timely manner.• Receive, investigate, report and act on citizen and public official requests for traffic behavior information and many kinds of traffic control measures.• Perform document and field investigations, including traffic data collection & analysis.• Perform various kinds of traffic studies.• Investigate traffic sight obstructions and profitably negotiate with responsible parties.• Process streetlight requests and request new installations where appropriate.• Disseminate information and submit advice and recommendations by generating clear verbal, written and graphic communication to general public, various professionals, and government officials, in self-arranged meetings and through correspondence.• Design & issue many Traffic Control Plans for sudden Special Events & Work Zones.• Investigate guardrail requests, Create & issue work orders and plans to traffic control crew managers and contractors.• Create and issue guardrail and static barricade work orders to Street Department Director.• Represent Traffic Department to event organizers at Special Event planning meetings.• Coordinate with Transit Director on traffic control plans related to Game Day loading & unloading,• Coordinate with Police and Sheriff’s Department Officials on special events and traffic issues.• Represent Traffic Engineering Department at Development Review meetings.• Occasionally assist other department personnel with traffic-related needs.• Furnish CAD-user guidance and CAD standards development as needed.• Issue & supervise EIT & junior traffic personnel tasks. Provide & recommend related mentoring and training.• Recommend software, hardware, tools and equipment acquisition.
