I have a deep passion for being involved in a variety of pursuits, especially when it comes to building and nurturing businesses. This journey began in January 2013 when Courtney and I opened Wheelhouse Salon in Homewood, Alabama. Since then, Wheelhouse has expanded to three locations and grown to a team of 65 exceptional employees.I am also a managing partner at Furnace Fest, LLC, a production company behind one of the country’s most celebrated music festivals held at the historic Sloss Furnaces Landmark in Birmingham, AL. With eight festivals to date, Furnace Fest has earned acclaim for being one of the best-organized and most community-oriented events in the nation, praised by both attendees and artists alike. The festival brings together a variety of perspectives, musical genres, and fans from around the world, all united by a shared devotion to music. With headliners such as Underoath, Andrew WK, Rise Against, Avenged Sevenfold, Taking Back Sunday, Descendants, Turnstile, Bane, Pennywise, and Hatebreed, Furnace Fest honors the spirit of its original inception, emphasizing both music and experience and making community the central heartbeat of each event.Currently, I am one of the owners and CEO of WORKPLAY in Birmingham, Alabama, a thriving venue that merges entertainment, workspace, and creativity. With three music halls for live performances, modern offices, state-of-the-art recording studios, The Harmonic bar, and versatile event-hosting spaces, WORKPLAY delivers a unique, immersive experience where work and play intersect.Additionally, I co-founded Anchor Properties, a real estate investment company that acquires, rehabilitates, and leases properties, managing them with a focus on quality and professionalism.Earlier in my career, I had the privilege of serving as the Director of International Partnerships at Know More Orphans, a nonprofit devoted to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children both locally and globally, with a special emphasis on projects in Haiti. I helped launch a healthcare initiative in 2015 that provided essential medical services across five communities and, in 2018, a nutritional program that continues to support over 500 children today.
